Exploring the range of opportunity that is possible for Nintendo Switch Online, many still are left in disbelief that the Nintendo 64 virtual library is out now. Even more is that it is connected to the Sega Genesis virtual library which is bundled in the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack tier. Last month, the service welcomed a new addition with Mario Golf in April.

However, the subscription tier also went on to feature another perk adding to its $49.99 value. In that, Nintendo decided to add the Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion DLC to Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack. Noted, this is not a standalone experience and will require you own the base version of Splatoon 2 to play.

In a recent announcement, Nintendo reveals that Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards is the next title to be welcomed to the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack Nintendo 64 virtual library. You can watch the trailer in the video below:

Venture beyond Dream Land. Stop the hungering Dark Matter. The Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards game, originally released for the Nintendo 64 system, is available on May 20th for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members,” the description for the footage reads. This follows Shining Force II, Sonic the Hedgehog Spinball, and Space Harrier II coming to the Sega Genesis virtual library previously.

Additionally, Nintendo appears to be preparing Nintendo Switch Online for its next virtual library. In that, the firm is claimed once more to be working on Game Boy & Game Boy Advanced to the growing list of support with mentions of using third-party emulators as well.
