Fans of Hanger 13’s well-received sequel Mafia II can count almost a decade since the initial release of the game back in 2010. However, it looks that in preparation for the ten-year mark for the title, a potential remaster of the game is expected to arrive in the coming future. We have already being subjected to this possibility through a report from September listing such alongside a new entry for the mainline series.
According to a listing on The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea, Mafia II: Definitive Edition has emerged on the domain. Even more, the same listing in the latter of the page also discloses SNK Girls, according to Gematsu. While the returning title has no listed platforms, the latter listing does have Nintendo Switch aligned for release.
What the listed SNK Girls title is expected to provide in this release is a roster of female characters that stray from the shared-name, Shin Nihon Kikaku. Remaining details are left to a minimum for both properties since only the titling for both games are the only revealed information alongside the respected platforms listed.
Rerouting the conversation back to Mafia leaks, the initial discovery shared that the next mainline entry is expected for a near-future release. However, it wasn’t until the publisher’s latest earnings call that 2K is preparing to reveal more news on the Mafia franchise. It is assumed that alongside the resurfacing Mafia II remaster will be shared in “the coming months,” the publisher shared.
What players can expect from purchasing the Mafia II: Definitive Edition is the plethora of cosmetic add-ons and downloadable content stories for the game. Namely the three expansions for the game: The Betrayal of Jimmy, Jimmy’s Vendetta, and Joe’s Adventures. The base game offered in-game items like outfits and automobiles in the vary editions that released for the game on preceding hardware.
