Latest Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania Crossover Reveals Yakuza’s Kazuma Kiryu To Join The Playable Roster

While the date for the release of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania begins to truly slim down in its time to arrival, publisher Sega is beginning to build tension for players to be excited for the October release. In that, the firm is establishing crossover additions to the game prior to the title launching. It began when Jet Set Radio’s Beat was revealed for the game. But it did not stop there.

Soon after did Sega unveil that Team Sonic’s Sonic the Hedgehog & Tails would both be playable in the game as well. But even then, plans to unveil more for the game is still on the way in a new announcement made on Wednesday. In that, RGG Studio’s Kiryu Kazuma is the next feature for the game. “Kazuma Kiryu is jumping from the streets of Kamurocho into the world of Super Monkey Ball! reads the description for the trailer. “The legendary ‘Dragon of Dojima’ rolls into Super Monkey Ball Banana Mania as a playable character, where he’ll be collecting bottles of Staminan X rather than bananas!”

Little fun fact about the crossover between Super Monkey Ball & the Yakuza IP is the internal correlation between both properties. Toshihiro Nagoshi which founded Ryu Ga Gotoku is recognized for his work on legacy franchises at Sega prior to the team’s founding – that includes Super Monkey Ball nearly two decades ago.
