Rewinding back to last year’s Tokyo Game Show in September, publisher Square Enix announced that the remake for the fan-favorite Super Famicom title Trials of Mana will be shipping later this April the following year. Unlike the initial title, this new reimagining for the classic game introduced character voice acting and redesigned combat system to satisfy the taste of today’s standards.
Now in a new trailer released earlier this week, we get a bigger glimpse at the game alongside learn more information leading up the slated launch for next month. Titled the ‘Final’ trailer, the footage provides more story elements as well as featuring pre-launch gameplay to fans eager to play. But don’t you worry; you can get your hands on the title as soon as tomorrow.
While not to its full extent, Square Enix announced that there will be a demo that will ship for all listed platform starting tomorrow, March 18. You can watch the trailer below:
What this brief demo is comprised of will offer players the first segment of the game and decide where you journey will lead once given the option to pick your party members for the majority of the campaign. The demo is said to go as far as the Fullmetal Hugger boss and following will conclude the demo.
Luckily, players who make it to the end will be able to harbor their save data and transfer it to the full game and kick off where you initially ended following the boss battle. It is a niché game feature that I wish more demo were capable of implementing: one being the demo that launched ahead of the release for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX back in February.
