One of the most surprising additions to Fortnite even realizing its been roughly a year is Lego Fortnite. Alongside Rocket Racing & Fortnite Festival then, Lego Fortnite has been the most ambitious addition to the battle royale still. With an open sandbox to create what you want and build how you like, Lego Fortnite continues to breathe creativity into base Fortnite.
Atop of that, Epic Games upon its release confirmed that there are over 1,200 skins to choose from to best represent yourself in-game. In March this year, Lego Fortnite rolled out its first major update. Part of the Epic Games State of Unreal keynote at GDC then, the new update featured vehicles to the game delivering more to the already thriving experience.
Now this week, Lego Fortnite introduces Lost Isles – a new region that players can take the Battle Bus to and explore a new ripe environment with a handful of different biomes to uncover. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:
“Landfall has been made on Lost Isles, a new addition to your world begging to be explored! Step boldly ashore, face its unknown dangers, and prepare for a LEGO adventure unlike any before,” the overview for the update reads. In total, there a five new biomes to explore: Beach, Plains, Jungle, Mountains, and Floating Islands. There is also an arsenal of new weapons and items that are bundled with Lost Isles.
“The Pirate Musket, Flint-Knock Pistol, and dynamite-laden Boom Shield are standard-issue supplies of Pirates. If you find yourself in a scuttle with them, they can drop one of these if you win! From the Peely Tribe, you’ll find plenty of Throwing Spears, a punch-packing projectile. Storm-Wild Tomatoes are known for carrying the Explorer’s Machete, which is great for cutting through the thick Jungle, plus the Knockback Shield to send foes flying.”
