The team responsible for both Life is Strange episodic entries and the coming Twin Mirror published by Bandai Namco is Paris-based Dontnod Entertainment. While conjuring gripping stories going as far as Remember Me back in 2013, the developer has operated primarily from its offices in France. But now, the firm has announced to be migrating with a new studio to operate in Montreal, Canada.

The development team explained that this new opening for the studio across the Atlantic will further reach the larger ambitions that Dontnod Entertainment only wished to strive for in its Paris studio alone.

Our goal is to create video games as close as possible to our community’s expectations. With this new international team, we will be able to envision even more ambitious titles and keep writing wonderful stories for our players

Oskar Guilbert, Dontnod Entertainment CEO

According to gamesindustry.biz as of reporting, Dontnod Entertainment’s Paris team is consisted of 250 employees operating at the studio in Europe. It was not disclosed who will be helming the new team in Montreal and what will be going underway as of yet. But the outlet goes on to state that Dontnod Entertainment is already working on a new, unannounced project that will be a focus in Canada for the newly founded team.

Elsewhere back in November, Dontnod Entertainment during the annual X019 shared to be working on a platform exclusive title, Tell Me Why. Collaborating with the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), this new experience will follow the journey of a transgendered protagonist and the conflicting struggles people of the group faces in today’s world with a Dontnod twist.
