Coming from developer Crytek, the firm is still riding off the anticipation of the September-released Crysis Remastered. Although the game did ship officially in fall, it should be noted that the game did already release for Nintendo Switch: being a game that is notorious to “melt PCs” back during its initial release a day prior, the game shipping on Switch first is quite the eye-opener.

Now looking forward, it is difficult to determine what exactly lies next for Crytek. Most noted for the firm’s self-named Crytek Engine, it is presumed the firm would continue prioritizing the engine in anticipation for the next-generation of consoles. And while that is most likely the case, word recently broke out sharing other potential plans as well.

Coming from a string of tweets from user @pokeprotos, the poster reveals leaked documents which reveal Crytek potentially pitching for more projects. Those projects include a follow-up to 2013’s Ryse: Son of Rome, remasters for later Crysis games, a Crysis VR title, Crysis battle royale, and more.

Upon the listed, the most interesting is a sequel to the Xbox One launch title. Since its inception, no word of a potential second entry were mentioned. The only thing to materialize happened to be a Steam version for the game on PC. As for the follow-up remasters, word has broke out suggesting the games would receive similar treatment alike the original Crysis previously. The user also shared an image from the file of the leaked battle royale which reads as such:

“A free to play battle-royale game where 100s of players collide in fast paced combat. Visual customization, adaptive nanosuit powers, and visually spectacular combat in an immersive world creates the ultimate live streaming experience. The Crysis franchise has all the features to make a battle royale stand out. The gameplay. The style and setting. High production value.”

The poster also in a separate post also told that the remasters once all available would also lead to a ultimate ‘Crysis Collection’ which would arrive later on. The user does emphasize that dates suggested are to be altered thanks to the delays of Crysis Remastered which occurred over the summer for the game.

Which title are you most excited to see possibly arrive from Crytek?
