The Metro series from 4A Games has cemented itself into public eye as a unique franchise bringing players underneath the street of Russia capital Moscow into the intricate web of trains tunnels that run beneath the city. Following the fallout of a fatal atomic war, residents of the city reside into the metro system of what used to run hundreds of thousands of people each day.
Following the release of this generation of consoles with the Xbox One and PlayStation 4, 4A Games wanted to rework the last generation kinks that plagued both Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light on older hardware; creating Metro Redux. Giving the two titles a new paintjob and bringing additional features to the two, Redux came out to hold up as on of the better remasters compared to the bevy to released at the same time.
Now, it looks that Nintendo Switch will be the next platform to receive the duology of the Metro series according to a listing on Portuguese retailer GamingReplay: listing Metro Redux with an image of the game’s boxart and a synopsis for the remastered bundle.
Upon reporting the discovery on the European retailer, the game has already been delisted from GamingReplay. The game was listed to run for €44.99 or around $50. The game was also framed to release on December 1st, which is not entirely out of the box for Nintendo when releasing titles on their platform. As well as the date not being a placeholder for the game, this could potentially be legitimate given the circumstance.
Ultimately, this can only be ranked as a rumor until official word is given from the game’s publisher or directly from the team themselves at 4A Games.
Metro Redux is currently available for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
