Lollipop Chainsaw was announced to be getting a remake titled ‘Lollipop Chainsaw RePop’ and it looks like Dragami Games is delaying the project. CEO of Dragami Games, Yoshimi Yasuda put out a statement overnight stating the team is working hard on game development, but they need more time.

Lollipop Chainsaw RePop was originally planned for this year, but the new release window has been pushed to Summer 2024.

“Regarding “RePOP”, we have been working hard to develop it for release in 2023, but we have decided that it is necessary to extend the development period in order to further improve the quality.”

“We sincerely apologize to all of you who have been looking forward to the release of the latest Lollipop Chainsaw series.”

The Lollipop Chainsaw Remake was announced in July 2022 where the original development staff are involved with this. Despite the original staff being involved Yasuda said there will be elements that are different from the original.
