During the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, we received a lot of new game reveals, including the reveal of Nintendo’s new console. To kick off the show, we received our first look at Mario Kart World, the next iteration in the iconic series.
Mario Kart World will have a free-roam mode for the first time in the series along with time of day and weather conditions. Players can also go off course on the map and travel through different environments. The newest Mario Kart will be a launch title for the Nintendo Switch 2.
It will also have a Knockout Tour and Grand Prix mode.
There will be a Switch 2 + Mario Kart World bundle that will cost $499.99. The cost of Mario Kart World has also been revealed after the Direct and will cost $79.99.
Nintendo announced a Mario Kart World Direct will go live on April 17, 2025 at 6:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET to reveal more of the game.
