The Battle Pass system has taken over games over the last several years across all first-person shooters and many others. NetEase is planning to release Marvel Rivals on December 6, 2024, across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5. Today, the studio announced its plans for monetization in Marvel Rivals revealing the plan for its Battle Pass system.
Once players purchase the Luxury Battle Pass in Marvel Rivals, they can continue to redeem rewards in further seasons even if they don’t finish it during the current season. Players will not have to stress about finishing a Battle Pass they paid for by a certain date.
Marvel Rivals is free-to-play so players don’t have to spend any money on the game. There’s also a free Battle Pass that will give limited cosmetics along with special events providing free cosmetic gear.
At launch, there will be 33 heroes to play with many more Marvel characters coming in the future.
