Of course, there is an understanding as to why it is exclusive to PlayStation: Sony holds the publishing rights to the character and marketing rights for Marvel’s Avengers too, But, why proceed with unique content when a portion of your player base cannot even play it which you likely need playing?

Part of the post-launch campaign, Crystal Dynamics announced that the Spider-Man expansion for Marvel’s Avengers is scheduled to arrive later in 2021. However, as spring came about, the team went on to share that the DLC will not be arriving until this summer. Despite the pushed promise, we are well fitted into the fall season and there is still no sign of the add-on.

On Thursday, Crystal Dynamics revealed that the long-awaited Spider-Man Expansion is planned to arrive this month at the end of November.

“Peter Parker uncovers AIM’s new plan to acquire technology that could make their Synthoid army unstoppable and total domination inevitable. He must partner with the Avengers to stop this looming threat, and forms a tentative friendship with Ms. Marvel and Black Widow while keeping his identity hidden. As a Hero accustomed to working solo, he struggles with the new dynamics of working with a team. Will he join up full time with the Avengers, or stay independent in his fight against AIM?”
