Although the masses love the lineup of comic films from Marvel Comics, the same cannot be said for (most) of the licensed titles that released in the past year. In that, Marvel’s Avengers despite the amount of noise that generated for the project following a box office boom near its announcement has fallen far from relevancy. It was reported that post-launch for the game left publisher Square Enix out of $63 million roughly at the time.
Following the game’s release, developer Crystal Dynamics went on to ship the most recent Black Panther: War For Wakanda Expansion which welcomed the titular Wakanda native to the playable roster. However, the ongoing release has still yet to welcome Spider-Man after the most recent delay for the add-on aimed for summer this year.
In exciting new for those that waited for a opportunity to play the game, it is officially coming to Xbox Game Pass this week. On Thursday, users can head over to either platform within the ecosystem and boot up the 2020 release. Even more, all released story DLC for Marvel’s Avengers will be included at no additional cost.
Yep – you read that right. Every player with an Xbox Game Pass membership can experience the full game and all our post-launch Heroes and missions. This includes four story campaigns that showcase one or more Hero’s unique abilities, as well as our Avengers Initiative – our evolving online multiplayer world that lets you and three friends play as any Hero in our roster and embark on global adventures.
Xbox Game Pass members will also have immediate access to our new War for Wakanda expansion, featuring our new playable Hero, Black Panther, and hours of new multiplayer and story content. In War for Wakanda, King T’Challa faces his greatest challenge yet when Ulysses Klaue infiltrates Wakanda to steal its precious Vibranium. T’Challa won’t be able to defeat his enemy alone; he’ll need to team up with the Avengers and confront his distrust of outsiders if he hopes to protect his kingdom.Hunter Wolfe, Crystal Dynamics Community Coordinator

“Marvel’s Avengers also supports Smart Delivery, giving you the best version of the game automatically delivered to your console, regardless of generation, with no extra steps required from you.” It was not too long before that Sony Interactive Entertainment’s PlayStation Now also featured Marvel’s Avengers earlier on.
Regarding Microsoft and Crystal Dynamics, this is not the first tag team announcement from the pair. Just last week it was announced that the Marvel’s Avengers team is to be partnering up with The Initiative to assist in the development for the highly-anticipated Perfect Dark remake project currently in the pipeline.
