Bethesda and Arkane Lyon announced during The Game Awards that they are developing a brand new Marvel’s Blade video game that will include an original story. They only shared a teaser video and it was revealed the game was in early development as Arkane apparently only just started.

According to Dana Nightingale’s LinkedIn profile, Arkane Lyon started development on Marvel’s Blade in January 2022. This information comes from her LinkedIn profile which says she is the “Director of the level design team and principle designer of the campaign on Marvel’s Blade”

That would mean Marvel’s Blade has been in development for nearly two years already. How far it is in development remains to be seen. This might be a positive sign for fans who maybe thought the game could be four or five more years away.

Marvel’s Blade is a single-player, third-person game set in the heart of Paris and looks to be planned for an Xbox release, but Microsoft has yet to share the platform details.
