With Xbox One and PC players anxious to get their hands on Mass Effect: Andromeda a few days early, some were left wondering exactly what restrictions, if any, would be implemented during the 10 hour early access. One of the game’s producer’s took to Twitter in a impromptu Q&A session, and answered some fans questions.
Multiplayer will have no limits according to Fernando Melo, with all players having access to every mode and character contained therein. The restrictions are present in the single player, with access limited to one planet as well as having a progression gate blocking your access past a certain point. Mass Effect: Andromeda releases on March 21st, 2017, with EA Access and PC Origin players allowed to play beginning on the 16th for a max of ten hours. You can see the remarks below, and let us know what you think about the restrictions.
yes, you'll be able to play sp story up to a pt on one of the planets but free to keep exploring that plt

no, for MP only restriction is the 10hr time limit on the build itself

you can play it all in sp if you want, but it is gated (you can't cont story after a point, but can explore or restart for ex)
