When it comes to 4A Games Metro franchise, the Ukrainian developer continues to prop up its IP for more releases. In 2020, the firm spoke on a multiplayer project in the works with even an entirely new IP on the way. Additionally, the developer later in 2023 informed that the next release is already underway with plans to release in 2024,
By January that following year, reports went out indicating that Metro will be arriving to virtual reality. That same month, it was announced that Metro Awakening VR is on the way. Showcased for PlayStation VR 2, it was also listed for Meta Quest 2 & 3 alongside Steam VR. However, a release date was not provided at the time.
From the most recent State of Play. Vertigo Games revealed Metro Awakening VR is coming November this year. You can watch the new trailer in the video below:
