Since the initial launch of Microsoft Flight Simulator nearly a year ago, many players still question how the game runs on some PC builds. While the title is fairly optimized, the characteristics that define the new release happens to be the most taxing on PC hardware if not deciding to compromise the experience for a more consistent playtime. But, that is anticipated to at least be different on Xbox Series X|S.

This past Sunday, developer Asobo Studio unveiled the release date for Microsoft Flight Simulator for Xbox Series X|S to ship in July next month. However, there was no direct indication as to what will vary for the game instantly from the announcement. But on Twitter, Asobo Studio goes on to make some clarifications.

In that, Microsoft Flight Simulator is told to run standard 30 frames per second on the Xbox Series X|S versions. However, there is a higher frames per second target for those with displays that support Variable Refresh Rate.

Elsewhere in a FAQ from Asobo Studio on Microsoft Flight Simulator, the firm also shares elements like cross-platform play will be supported between all systems. Additionally, the team also elaborates on supported peripherals for the game. “Microsoft Flight Simulator fully supports Xbox gamepad, keyboard and mouse, Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas One, Thrustmaster T.Flight Rudder, and HORI HOTAS Flight Stick for Xbox One.”

Outside of Microsoft Flight Simulator, Asobo Studio also unveiled in next major project, A Plague Tale: Requiem. You can read the full report by heading here.
