Microsoft Reveals New Line of Displays To Take Advantage Of Xbox Series X|S HDMI 2.1

For the current age of console game, Microsoft & Sony are certainly pushing the standard for the best visual fluidity for gaming systems. With the release of Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 this past fall, 4K gaming alongside support for 120Hz is the new standard as console finally caught up with PC in those terms. So, the next thing would be for more optimized displays to achieve said features.

In that, Philips recently launched its new Momentum 55” 559M1RYV model which offers dedicated 4K UHD with 120Hz refresh rate for those playing on Xbox Series X. The immersion continues on with a partnership between Philips and Bowers & Wilkins for next-generation audio through the new display.

As part of a new initiative to showcase the capabilities if the HDMI 2.1 for Xbox Series X, Microsoft revealed a slew of additional displays that can get the job done – including the Philips Momentum display.

Few devices in gaming are as important as your display, and we know with a new console generation comes unparalleled fidelity in your gaming experiences. With the amazing visual capabilities of Xbox Series X|S and new display features to consider like HDR, 4K at 120Hz, and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), we want to help Xbox fans find the ideal monitor for your preferred gaming experience. While the options available may seem endless and at times or even downright confusing, the Designed for Xbox team has got your back.

For the first time, we’re announcing gaming monitors from our licensed partners will join the Designed for Xbox program! We worked closely with leading display manufacturers including Philips, ASUS, and Acer over the last two years to prepare these products to take full advantage of Xbox Series X|S and HDMI 2.1.
