We’ve written a fair bit about new custom-designed or special edition Xbox One controllers in the past, and we won’t be stopping any time soon as Microsoft has lifted the curtain on a new design and line of controller aesthetics the company is calling the “Tech Series.”
Bree White, Global Product Marketing Manager, wrote on Xbox Wire to debut the new design, with the full image gallery embedded below.  White discusses the controller’s design cues, writing “In developing this new controller series, the Xbox team was inspired by military technology and performance patterns, exploring concepts stemming from combat armor and sci-fi mechanical gear.

As you can see, the controller is pretty snazzy.  The rubberized, knurled grip on the back, along with its Bluetooth connectivity and button remappability come from the Xbox One controller that was initially debuted alongside the Xbox One S last year.  Greyed-out buttons and some laser-etched engravings and gold insignias.
The controller is up for pre-order on the Microsoft Store website, and will be available worldwide, without retailer exclusivity, beginning on April 25.  At $70 USD, you will be paying a premium for the latest design, but if black or white isn’t for you, then this dark grey will likely be a great option.
