Minecraft Bedrock: Jig’s Guide: Redstone Basics Review

This map is available on the Minecraft Marketplace by Jigarbov Productions for 490 Minecoins. Jigarbov Productions has made maps such as the Abstraction and the Monster Battle Arena maps.

The Minecraft Marketplace is available on Windows 10, Xbox One, Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, Gear VR and more!

This mechanic has been in the game for quite some time. It is like the wiring of Minecraft. The engineering inside the game itself (besides the actual coding.) It is…. redstone! But redstone can be very hard to master and to get it to do what you want in a certain space. But thankfully a marketplace partner has created a map to help with the issues with redstone some players may experience.

This map 4 rooms which can be great to get your head into some redstone. The start room is where you… start… self explanatory right? It explains to you about redstone and shows you some complex examples of using redstone. You are guided through this room using a minecart.

“The Basics” room is the main room which can help people new to redstone. You are guided through this room by completing challenges which include placing certain items on colour coded blocks to complete tasks to progress to different rooms.

The “Test Rooms” and Free Roam rooms go hand in hand with each other. The Test rooms demonstrate to you ever block which can be used for redstone contraptions to your ability. Free Roam allows you to experiment with components to your hearts content! Its a world with only you and redstone (and Jigarbov’s voice).

This map overall is great if you want to get into Redstone but you are unsure on where to start and you don’t understand any of it. If you already understand the main functions of redstone, you may want to give this map a miss unless you want to buy a world to see what blocks can be used with redstone and you want to try to get better at redstone.
