Alongside Mojang’s release of version 1.0, The Ender Update, for Minecraft: Pocket Edition and Windows 10 Edition Beta this morning, the forecast shows a high chance of festive spirits and snow as the 1.0 update also includes the new Festive Mash-Up Pack for your wintry enjoyment. Mojang’s trailer for the Festive Mash-up Pack is linked in the source.
Mojang mentions the Festive Mash-Up Pack includes “a uniquely snowbound world for you to explore, featuring log-built chalets, frozen lakes, [and] vast caves woven through with cart tracks”. The pack also includes fifteen new holiday-themed skins for players to slip into: Chris Cringle, his reindeer, Krampus, Dishevelf, a Yuletide Yeti, Mistletoes the Bigfoot, a nice festive sweater for the regular male or female player model, and even a few more. Also part of the Festive Mash-Up Pack is a new texture pack to make Minecraft a little more wintry and festive for this time of year. The Festive Mash-Up pack will be available as an in-app purchase of $3.99 USD (or its local regional equivalent).
Pocket Edition and Windows 10 Edition Beta are set to receive the pack as part of the 1.0 update, but other platforms should check over the next few hours to have the chance to slip on something cozy and go gallivanting across a snowy, winter wonderland.
