Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is releasing in just a few days and Sledgehammer Games are still revealing new information about its Multiplayer systems. One of the features you can expect in Modern Warfare III’s Multiplayer is Challenges which play a big role in what you can unlock.
The Challenges featured in the new Call of Duty are Daily, Weekly, Career, Operator, Weapons, and Armory Unlock.
Daily Challenges
Daily Challenges will be available in Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone at its launch. These types of challenges are a set of three challenges that reset on a planned schedule and will have an in-game timer that would expire after 24 hours.
There will be three different challenges one being General that won’t require much change in your playstyle. A Weapon Challenge will force you to play with a specific weapon and the Special Challenge will encourage players to explore with specific conditions like equipment or field upgrades like providing ammo resupplies for 4 players.
Career Challenges
These will include Challenges for winning matches, earning kills or earning kills with a specific weapon category, and using a certain equipment a number of times. There will be several milestone steps that will earn you XP and when future seasons become available more Career Challenges will be added.
Weekly Challenges
Every week there will be new challenges for players to earn and they could be for getting 50 Operator Kills with a certain Assault Rifle or getting a single triple kill. At launch, Sledgehammer Games says to expect seven Multiplayer and seven Zombies Weekly Challenges from Pre-Season and into Season 1.
Armory Unlock Challenges
These Challenges are a new system that lets you unlock the weapons, equipment, killstreaks, and attachments that you want to utilize. That would include a number of attachments unlocked via weapon progression.
Armory Unlock Challenges are unlocked once you reach Level 25 where you will begin to progress by completing challenges and unlocking new items.
Each Daily Challenge you complete will earn you a point against your active Armory Unlock Challenge.
Modern Warfare III releases November 10, 2023, for PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
