The next season of Warzone kicks off on August 2 and it’ll have a limited-time event to reveal Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III. The exact time and date for this reveal hasn’t been shared yet, but the assumption it’ll be sometime during the week of the new season.

This is what Activision had to say regarding the event:

“Drop into Call of Duty: Warzone to experience the worldwide reveal for Call of Duty 2023 in a limited-time event. Join the ranks of Shadow Company to take on Konni forces and secure the chemical weapon threat before it’s too late. Stay tuned to Call of Duty channels for more details about the upcoming reveal.”

It has been one of the worst kept secrets in gaming that Call of Duty 2023 will be a continuation of the Modern Warfare series. Originally there wasn’t going to be a new game coming out this year as it was going to be a $70 expansion. The expectation is that Modern Warfare III will be releasing on November 10 with multiple beta weekends leading up to it. There will be a Campaign Early Access just like the 2022 release of Call of Duty.

Activision confirmed that Operators, Weapons and Bundles will carry over to Modern Warfare III from Modern Warfare II. The reveal in Warzone this coming week should give us a tease of what the game will actually look like, but we will see.
