As we reach less than a week to the launch of Treyarch’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, we already have more information surfacing that might lay out what’s coming for the game’s post-launch content in the following months.
In a recent tread of questions, fans asked the developer questions that might still be lingering days before the game’s official launch. One fan on Twitter asked about mod tools for the game and how it will be illustrated in the anticipated title. Where Treyarch replied that they are already looking into the support for the feature, but we will not be seeing mod tools at launch.
We've repeatedly commented on our huge fandom for the mod community, and it's something we'll be looking at, but won't be at launch.

As mods were present in the previous Black Ops title, it hasn’t officially been confirmed by the studio that we will see mod support for the game any time as of yet. As Treyarch has acknowledged the request from the game’s fanbase, it is exciting that the possibility for this happening could be a reality depending on the mindset of the studio in the coming months.
For how far mod support will reach in the online-only title to go, it is unsure if we will see it only in base multiplayer or to exceed into Blackout and zombies mode as well.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will be available on October 12, 2018 for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One.
