Mojang Studios Promises More Regular Content With Revamp To Its Announcement Itinerary

In the realm of Minecraft, the Mojang Studios title is currently in the midst of online chatter thanks to the first teaser of the upcoming live-action film. With Hollywood stars Jason Mamoa & Jack Black starring in the new picture, Warner Bros. is picking up traction ahead of the film’s April 2025 release. Additionally, the full game is also preparing more as well.

Back in June, Mojang Studios confirmed that Minecraft is to prepare a native PlayStation 5 release later on. Around the same time, the Swedish game studio also released the latest update for Minecraft – Tricky Trials. The update included a new weapon for the first time in nearly a decade, armor trimming, and revamped paintings as well.

For plans on future updates, Mojang Studios promises to be more vocal on its behalf offering more to players that regular the game as well as being active with its presentations moving forward. One of the biggest reveals is that the annual mob vote is to be done for as part of Minecraft Live.

Together we’ve crafted a game that has stood the test of time, and as we look towards our sixteenth birthday and beyond, we’re here to talk about the future of Minecraft’s development – how we’re working to bring you new features more regularly, the changes we’re making to Minecraft Live, and more.

Ryan Cooper, Microsoft’s Head of Minecraft

“We know that you want new Minecraft content more often, which is why we’re changing our feature development rhythm. Instead of providing one free update during the summer, as we’ve done in the past, we’ll now be releasing a number of free game drops throughout the year. These game drops will vary in size and will bring you features to explore more frequently.”

The blog post continues: “We’re changing the format for Minecraft Live, and retiring the mob vote, to bring you something new. Instead of doing one show per year (usually in October) – Minecraft Live will now become a more focussed broadcast, and it will happen twice per year. Each show will be packed with everything you need to know about the latest features we’re working on, what’s coming into testing, and the newest news from across the Minecraft franchise.”

Are you in favor of this new adjustment to Minecraft updates?
