On the PlayStation blog today studio Retro Dreamer announced their first game, Monsters & Monocles, will be coming to the PlayStation 4. In a new take on the top down, twin stick shooter, M&M (our nickname for it, hope it sticks) lets you control various characters such as Baron Von Dogface who is a smoke jacket wearing dog, in an attempt to mow down enemies.

Using various new weapons and customizable relics used to enhance them, it is up to you to make it through the level either solo or with up to four players online and/or co-op. Retro Dreamer is a small, three person studio based in L.A. and Craig Sharpe, the studio’s artist, indicated that although the game has been in development for over a year, the first time they met was this past E3! Most of their work is done remotely via their own home and the use of Skype, which is an incredible testament to their dedication to the game and its development.
