During today’s Devolver Direct presentation, developer Phobia Game Studio took the spotlight to reveal some new information on the coming 2D action-adventure. With that, the developer announced that Carrion will officially be arriving to Xbox, Switch, and PC on July 23. The game, according to its Steam page, is told to be a “reverse horror game in which you assume the role of an amorphous creature of unknown origin.

“Stalk and consume those that imprisoned you to spread fear and panic throughout the facility. Grow and evolve as you tear down this prison and acquire more and more devastating abilities on the path to retribution.” You can watch the new launch trailer in the video below:

Alongside the announcement for the title’s official release, publisher Devolver Digital shared during the same presentation that fans can visit the virtual Carrion booth at Devolverland Expo. In this new experience, players can explore the deserted show floor of a cancelled event that was set to take place before it was mysteriously called off.

Alongside the coming project from Phobia Game Studio, players can also tread over to sections dedicated to other published projects under Devolver Digital. That includes Fall Guys, Weird West, and Shadow Warrior 3. You can read the full announcement by heading here.
