Movie Tie-in Event For Monster Hunter World Introduces Milla Jovovich To The Game

While the wait has been lengthy for Paul S.W. Anderson’s Monster Hunter film adaptation, the motion picture is set to arrive next month. Recently when revealing the Chinese trailer for the coming movie, Capcom and Sony Pictures reveal that the film is to release on December 4th in select regions across the globe such as Europe and China. However, North America will wait until Christmas day to hit the box office.

In anticipation for the movie, Capcom has announced a new collaboration event that will be coming to the current Monster Hunter World. Similarly with the featuring of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt’s Geralt of Rivia previously, Milla Jovovich’s Artemis will be introduced for a limited time on December 3.

In the crossover event, there will be two quest to complete: “The New World” and “To Our World” which upon completion rewards players with armor from the approaching film. You can watch the crossover event trailer in the video below:

“Two new limited time Event Quests will be available in Monster Hunter World: Iceborne, as a two-part single player side story where you’ll play as Artemis,” Capcom USA Community Manager Yuri Araujo pens in the blog post. “To really immerse you in the movie atmosphere, Artemis will be voiced by Milla Jovovich herself, and will be speaking in English while NPCs will speak in Monster Hunter Language. You’ll understand once you jump in the quests.”

Similarly in recent events, NetherRealm Studios also incorporated a skin pack from the 995 Mortal Kombat film into the latest Mortal Kombat 11. The Klassik MK Skin Pack includes the likes from the motion picture to apply for Raiden, Sonya Blade, and Johnn Cage. You can read the full report by heading here.
