Exploring the long repertoire of titles developed by Traveller’s Tales, the team has composed some of the most memorable, licensed titles in recent years. From Lego Star Wars to Lego Batman, Lego Marvel Superheroes, and Lego Harry Potter, the game studio has churned out continued content which surpassed the last. The most recent is Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga which released last April.

From our review of the game: “I loved my time with LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Traveller’s Tales went above and beyond to create the most expansive LEGO Star Wars game.” However, this project could be its final for the developer according to recent reports. With the licensed Lego Brawls title alongside Sumo Digital to tackle sports titles with the brand as well, chances on new licensed opportunities appeared to be rather slim.

In a new string of leaks from Nintendolife, multiple internal projects at Traveller’s Tales was unearthed this week sharing scrapped Lego titles alongside even the developer exploring other property deals outside of Lego. For starters, ‘Project Marley’ was a collaborative title with Diablo-like dungeons featuring Jungle Book, Nightmare Before Christmas, Pirates of the Caribbean, Maleficent, Muppets, Frozen, Toy Story, and Winnie the Pooh – a deal struct with Disney of course.

Additionally, a separate title labeled ‘Project Cosmic’ was also in the works for a Lego Guardians of the Galaxy title. Already, the team did establish portions of the films with Lego Marvel Superheroes 2, but a centered game on the James Gunn films would have been a seller. ‘Project Rainbow Road’ was another collab title with Warner Bros. IP including DC, Rick & Morty, and Looney Tunes as well as Netflix’s Stranger Things.

The game was described to be in negotiations with Funko before the deal was given to 1010 Games on its upcoming platformer project, Funko Fusion. Another title, ‘Project Lego X’, was in development as a mobile port for Lego Worlds. However, Playdemic handled the responsibility to Traveller’s Tales after it was acquired over a year ago and left to squander.

Which of the TT Games projects are you most upset will not see the light of day?
