MultiVersus, the platform fighting game from Warner Bros and Player1stGames was a nice surprise when it arrived in 2022, but once June 25, 2023, arrived the Open Beta concluded. Warner Bros. has consistently said they want to focus on live service and free-to-play games going into the future. If there is one game that fits in that criteria it’s MultiVersus.

On Tuesday, March 5, 2024, the official MultiVersus X (Twitter) account put out a post teasing a return while pretending to be doing a mic check.

MultiVersus saw great success in its short time reaching over 20 million players and receiving new fighters constantly. It looks like the fighting game is nearing a return in the near future.
