Developer Mundfish for a few years now has been quietly working on its action-survival title, Atomic Heart. Taking evident inspirations from games such as Bioshock and Metro 2033, the next experience offers a new take on first-person action titles and pushes the boundaries for sleek performance and visually demanding graphics. Imbedded in a unique dystopic setting, players could find themselves lost in this new game whenever the team is ready to ship the title.
Currently, the game has been listed for current console hardware (PlayStation 4, Xbox One) an PC, but the team shares to be expanding the platform list to next-generation systems now. Uploading a new gameplay preview of the game, the studio ends the video by revealing next-generation versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
You can watch the new gameplay demo in the video below:
“Atomic Heart is an adventure first-person shooter, events of which unfold in an alternative universe, during the high noon of the Soviet Union,” the game’s description reads on Steam. “The main character of the game is a special agent, who was sent to a highly secret object by the Soviet government after it went radio silent.
“Soviet setting with a pitch of insanity, action-packed gameplay and a thrilling story will keep you entertained for the whole duration of your journey into the world of Atomic Heart. Unfold the secrets, restore peace and order, and show the Motherland what you got!” In the description of the new video, Mundfish discloses that Doom Eternal composer Mick Gordon will be assisting with the game’s soundtrack as well.
Previously, Gordon has been reported to be involved with a spill of controversy between himself and id Software. The conclusion ended with him departing from working with the team as the firm continues forward with the coming DLC arriving to the March-shipped sequel.
