Natsume Announces Harvest Moon: One World, Aimed For Release Later This Year

For Shinjuku-based developer Natsume, the team behind the recognized Harvest Moon series just finished working on the latest entry – Light of Hope – in 2017 and is already excited to share the next installment for the series. Announcing One World, the studio shared that the next installment will be primed for release sometime later in 2020.

Amid the reveal for the latest title in the branching franchise, Natsume tells that details on One World are expected to be shared in the “coming days and weeks,” the announcement tweet states. But for the time being, Natsume in a press release shares that One World will be the first for players to experience Harvest Moon with a new engine.

Harvest Moon: One World features a brand-new way of exploring Harvest Moon that seasoned players and new generations will both enjoy. The new engine and new graphics will upgrade this experience for 2020. We are so excited to share more about the features of Harvest Moon: One World in the coming months.

In the same press release, Natsume shares the synapse to be a new take on their pioneered genre with adventure and other endeavors that lay await players who play One World. “Can you imagine a world without tomatoes, strawberries, or even cabbage? That’s the situation players will find themselves in in the latest entry in the Harvest Moon series.

“Only an old book gives hints of what once was… Buoyed by a mysterious discovery, however, players will find themselves setting out on an adventure that spans not only their hometown but the whole world!” As of reporting, publisher Rising Star Games shares that only One World will only be coming to Nintendo Switch; preceding title released on PC, PlayStation 4, and mobile devices.
