When Netflix casted Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia for The Witcher, there was a huge speculation as to whether Cavill’s days as the Man of Steel are over. While it’s still open for debate, it seems to be heading in that direction, because Netflix has now released a new Witcher teaser trailer.
The trailer opens with a director’s clapboard and Cavill approaches with white long hair and black body armor, just like the character in the series. He doesn’t say anything, just a short stare at the camera and drinks a vial at the end.

There are some interesting reactions with comparisons to Legolas and Christopher Lambert’s Raiden from the original Mortal Kombat movie.
With the success of Castlevania and Henry Cavill’s caliber, the expectations are high for the series, as 2019 will be the scheduled launch for Netflix.
