Netflix Reveals Resident Evil Live-Action TV Series Officially Arrives This July

With the Resident Evil IP entertaining its fans for more than 25 years now, it is more than half of that where the series branched into different mediums. Namely we witnessed the franchise enter film with the Milla Jovovich movie franchise as well as the recent motion picture, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City. But, there is more that came since

That includes CGI film Resident Evil Vendetta and its sequel Resident Evil Infinite Darkness that hit Netflix this past summer. Additionally, it was revealed by Netflix that it’s working on a live-action show with Albert Wesker’s daughters Jade & Billie. But, details on the project remains slim since its inception way back in August 2020.

In a new announcement on Twitter, Netflix announced that the previously mentioned Resident Evil TV show is set to arrive to its library later this July.

With only a poster giving the name simply ‘Resident Evil’, there is not much to go from the reveal. However, the original announcement for the TV series did elaborate on the production. In that, it is said the plot follows the two siblings uncover the truth of ‘New Raccoon City’ as sister Jade contracts the T-Virus.

Other potential updates for Netflix & Resident Evil is possibly underway from a previous announcement. The firm revealed in a [press release with Sony Pictures that films produced by the company will be coming to Netflix such as Uncharted. This could also apply to Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City which was made under Sony Pictures. You can read the full report by heading here.
