Developer NetherRealm Studios since the release of its latest installment of its notorious fighting series with Mortal Kombat 11, the team has been hesitant to show just yet what additional fighters will be joining to the next. That was until the developer released the trailer for the title’s Kombat Pass, revealing that among Sheng Tsung, Sindel, Nightwolf, and Spawn will be coming to the game in the coming future.
This led to fan speculation and investigating as the users following the pass’ trailer discovered that Terminator is supposedly one of the remaining two to be joining the roster. Initially, when searching “Mortal Kombat Terminator game” on Google, the user would be directly linked to the game’s website.
Atop of the finding, players also speculated that Evil Dead’s Ash could possibly be coming to the game following a statement he made on the game’s Kombat Pass trailer. Despite actor Bruce Campbell denouncing his involvement with the game prior, fans assumed that this would be what seals the deal even without more tangible proof.
Today, NetherRealm has finally revealed the full Kombat Pass with a new trailer which reveals that the last two characters that will be coming to Mortal Kombat 11 is the previously rumored Terminator and DC Comic’s Joker.
In light of the new trailer, we did learn a few new things that were previously not shared from the developer. First thing being that with Terminator officially be a fighter, we know that the character’s model is based off of Arnold Schwarzenegger which many fans were afraid might not happen. Second is that we have a glimpse at Spawn’s fully-rendered appearance for the first time that countless players have been eager to see as well.
The most surprising reveal must be Joker’s announcement for the game since he is already in the studio’s previous Injustice 2, it was expected another character from the Mortal Kombat franchise or another celebrity character to take the remaining spot. Regardless, it is exciting now knowing what the full list of upcoming characters.
The trailer also announces the release dates for each character; following Sheng Tsung and Nightwolf, “Terminator T-800” will be arriving on October 8th, Sindel is coming November 26th, Joker landing January 28th, and Spawn’s arrival marked for March 17th.
