Sea Of Thieves originally announced at Xbox’s E3 2015, has been one of the longest, if not the longest, running alpha build ever for a game. Just last week, we learned Microsoft is letting Rare bypass certification process for Sea Of Thieves. This game will essentially receive updates faster than any other game on Xbox One now that the Xbox team doesn’t have to manually verify updates for Rare’s game just in case it breaks any operating system functions.
The Game Awards happens next week on December 7th and Xbox’s Head of Marketing Aaron Greenberg has confirmed during the annual Microsoft’s Extra Life marathon that Sea Of Thieves is having a presence at the show. We could potentially see a release date for Xbox’s exclusive which is scheduled to arrive early next year.
