Since the initial release of Mortal Kombat 11 back in April of last year, NetherRealm Studios has been on a lengthy content campaign with the first Fighter Pass for the latest entry in the series. The latest addition being Todd McFarlane’s Spawn which arrived March happened to be the last scheduled add-on for the game as of yet. However, according to a new teaser, a new wave of content is on the way.

Out of the blue today NetherRealm Studios shared a brief clip with Raiden and Lui Kang concluding on their work, assuming from the base campaign for the game. However, the two were then greeted by Shang Tsung who they scream out as he enters before the short trailer ends. You can watch the teaser in the video below:

The video only providing the statement “the epic saga continues” does not reveal much on the matter of what exactly is coming whether it being more characters or more than that. With the three named fighters, we can easily discard the idea that another fighter pass will be on the way soon. Instead, it seems more likely that NetherRealm Studios will extend the current campaign for the current fighting game.

Just from the wording of the statement to resume the “epic saga” implies more on the lines of a story add-on of sorts to be shared. The video ends revealing that the full announcement will be taking place on May 6, tomorrow. However, no selected time was given, so keep an eye out this Wednesday for when the reveal officially drops.
