Developer Blizzard Entertainment continues to push out more content for many of its IPs in 2024 alone. Already, the game studio shipping its first expansion for Diablo IV in October – The Vessel of Hatred. Additionally, World of Warcraft has already delivered its latest add-on for the ongoing title with The War Within just this past month as well.
Looking ahead, Blizzard Entertainment is also set to make a new collaboration with Overwatch 2. Previously, it was teased that Overwatch 2 & World of Warcraft are to bridge paths with one another in an upcoming partnered event for the hero shooter. Not only that, but it was revealed this week that Overwatch 2 coming to Game Pass also enables new in-game items for players that link their accounts.
This week, the aforementioned Overwatch 2 x World of Warcraft collab event goes live. You can watch the featured trailer in the video below:
“Join the celebration as Overwatch 2 and World of Warcraft unite the realms for a legendary crossover event! Choose to represent the Horde or the Alliance as the mighty heroes of Overwatch honor the iconic characters from the world of Azeroth,” the trailer description on YouTube reads. The footage features Reinhardt as the Lich King, Widowmaker as Sylvanas Windrunner, Zenyatta as Thrall, and Torbjorn as Magni Bronzebeard.
And that’s not all for World of Warcraft from Blizzard this year. In a new development uncovered by @TeamSupernovaFB on X, the firm is partnering with Mountain Dew & Pepsi once again for a new unique flavor prepared to release this fall. You can read the full report by heading here.
