As fans who have been patient waiting on the first story expansion for Kingdom Hearts 3 have been busy returning to the game with the recently released Critical Mode, Square Enix finally revealed the release window for the first DLC, titled Re:Mind. At the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra – World of Tres held in Los Angeles, Director Tetsuya Nomura cam on stage to reveal the “exclusive” reveal of the content’s announcement trailer.
Just earlier this year, Nomura at in an interview detailed that he is currently busy with content leading to the end of next year, but plans to finish the first project as for paid downloadable content by the end of 2019.
In the trailer, it meets a conversation between Young Xehanort and the Master of Masters in the Keyblade Graveyard, leading to Xehanort being ordered to carry out “the world tour” by his alluded mentor as implied from the black coat he wears in the trailer. The second scene of Xigbar and Luxord during a confrontation in Hercule’s Olympus. Xigbar questioning Luxord’s identity, leading to his involvement in the world surrounding the series.
As well as showcasing a small segment of gameplay which shows that some parts of the coming DLC will allows players to play Aqua, Riku, and Roxas. Keyblade formchanges will also be making an appearance in the upcoming story DLC.
Square Enix details that the Re:Mind story expansion will be coming later this Winter in 2020.
