New Trailer Reveals Reworked Model For Sonic The Hedgehog Movie

As many of us are fully aware, the internet was not satisfied with the debut of the fully-rendered Sonic character model for the upcoming titular film. And followed with upset fans, the team over at Paramount went back to reworking on the Blue Blur’s film debut by delaying the film until Valentine’s Day later in 2020.

Leaving fans unsure when the new look will officially be revealed, patience was the only answer for the time being. However, it wasn’t until mid-October that leaks for the new and improved Sonic the Hedgehog have surfaced leaving prior enraged fans with excitement of the then-rumored model’s resemblance to the source material.

Left unclarified once again, it wasn’t until today that Paramount released a new trailer for the 2020 film confirming that the previously leaked rendered Sonic was in fact the new look for the approaching motion picture. You can watch the full trailer below:

And it looks that the countless angered fans that were unhappy with the movie’s reveal back in April are now anticipating to see the film following the character model’s new makeover. However, I have my own little theory of the film: that being that the film could have already been something good for the video game film genre before the model’s abrupt visual overhaul.

Hear me out; the movie at the time of the first trailer earlier this year was already on the brink of post-production seeing that majority of the film was already rendered and needed to be properly edited and for the project to be sculpted into the final product. However, Paramount decided to use an introductory direction in the debuting trailer to show off Sonic in the flesh, saving the better segments for a later trailer.

But as we have already witnessed, the film was later pushed from November to February to re-render Sonic to the reception’s standard. And now with the new model, the once angered are now satisfied with the movie leading up to this Winter. But the extra time needed for the film did not add any additional scenes when returning back to production, it only gave the protagonist a different appearance. Henceforth, this was already set to be a fun flick for Sega’s audience ahead of the sudden change of Sonic.

What are you most excited for with this new Sonic model?

Sonic the Hedgehog box office release is slated for February 14, 2020.
