Just a couple of weeks back, developer Sucker Punch Productions briefly after the anticipated release for Ghost of Tsushima announced that a new, free patch will ship for the July-released title. In the client install, the studio unveiled that a handful of gameplay adjustments and the addition of a more extreme difficulty mode will be added to breathe life into young-aged title.

Now with just a month since the game’s arrival when looking at the calendar, the team has returned to share the next update that will be landing for Ghost of Tsushima later this autumn. While not a small patch to resolve some of the minor issues lingering in the game, instead it will be a full update offering a new experience to the game.

In that, Sucker Punch Productions announces Ghost of Tsushima: Legends. This new add-on will feature online multiplayer for owners of the game to indulge in matchmaking with a group up to four players. You can watch the reveal trailer in the video below:

Separating from the story campaign of Ghost of Tsushima, Legends hones in on the tale of four legendary warriors as foretold by the occupants of Tsushima. Gathering a large enough party, players can decide between the four available characters with their own respected classes: Assassin, Hunter, Ronin, and Samurai.

Emphasizing on two-player co-op, players can take on a catalogue of story missions to unearth more of the lore imbedded within Ghost of Tsushima. As for a full party, there are a selection of survival, wave-based missions for users to take on. Sucker Punch Productions shares that there are planned Raids that can be unlocked from completing both story & survival mission which will ship after the release of Legends later this year.
