Next Need For Speed Installment Still Paved For Fall 2019 Release

According to the latest earnings call for publisher Electronic Arts, the previously scheduled Q3 Need for Speed title that was discovered alongside the now-upcoming Plants Vs. Zombies 3 is still part of the company’s plan to launch sometime this coming Fall.

Following the title’s knowing for a release sometime after this Summer, many fans anticipated that the coming installment will be receiving an official reveal of the game including the unannounced PopCap title. However, the developer soon after made a post to clarify with the community that the unannounced title will not be present at this year’s E3 event in Los Angeles.

In detail, the game’s studio did share that the newest installment in the series will be one that the developer does not want to show similarities to the current Need for Speed: Payback in the issues it faced as 2019 marks the 25th anniversary of the Need for Speed franchise which started back in 1994 with the first titular title.

Our goal is to deliver a truly memorable high-speed entry into the 25 years of NFS, rather than a series of promotional events. The game matters most – a sentiment we bet you share with us.

The precedence that founded this news also revealed that the unannounced NBA Live 20 despite receiving a proper reveal has already been delayed as the same earnings call shares that the game has been pushed from Q2 to the same financial quarter as the discussed Need for Speed title. Looking at the calendar release schedule concluding this year, the new title could be out sometime from early October to deep into December.

Currently the unnamed Need for Speed title is listed for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
