Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl Welcomes CatDog And April O’Neal In New Reveal

Recalling earlier on this summer, many fans throughout the fighting game community swelled in excitement for one particular announcement, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. As the Fighter Pass Vol. 2 for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate concludes very soon, fans are looking for an exit to a fresh experience and GameMill Entertainment looks to be delivering that desire.

Taking all the core building blocks of the beloved Nintendo series, fans can find a very similar experience or possibly even better starring your favorite Nickelodeon characters now. Scheduled to arrive this fall, GameMill Entertainment plans to share more details as the opportunity comes. During the recently held Future Games Show: Gamescom 2021 reveals more characters to the roster.

In that, both CatDog & April O’Neal will be joining the Nickelodeon collaborative brawler. You can watch both trailer in the videos below:

Speaking with Gamesradar+, Producer Joel Nyström elaborates on live-action characters being added to the game. Namely, the amount of animated options gives enough fuel to the team, he shares. “I’d assume they don’t feature a giant, two-ton hammer suddenly produced from your back pocket. There’s just so much weird and zany stuff to draw from the animated shows! And there is no shortage of amazing characters there.”

Continuing further on the matters of the game’s influence from the Nintendo IP, Nyström explains that “Smash Bros. is the grandfather of the game.” Adding, “Every new platform fighter brings something unique to the fight and I personally can’t wait to see what this genre can become in the future. With Nick All-Star Brawl, we have made a more streamlined experience with a control scheme that draws from the lessons of the entire scene – while at the same time keeping it competitive. And above all else, fun!”
