During the Xbox Developer Direct on Thursday, January 23, 2025, Koei Tecmo revealed Ninja Gaiden 2 Black. The remaster can now be played on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. It’s also available to play on Game Pass.

It was announced that Ninja Gaiden 2 Black will be getting a physical edition exclusively for PS5. That means the game revealed at the Xbox Direct will not see a physical release. Playasia announced that it has partnered with publisher Koei Tecmo to release a physical version of the remaster for PS5 on March 27.

Currently, players can purchase Ninja Gaiden 2 Black on digital storefronts for $49.99. If you are a Game Pass subscriber you’ll have access to the game already.

Along with the remaster of the 2008 action-adventure game was the reveal of Ninja Gaiden 4. The new game is developed by Platinum Games and Koei Tecmo with Xbox Game Studios publishing the game. It will also be coming to PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S in Fall 2025.
