For many Ninja Gaiden fans of the current present, you certainly live during a heavy drought for the series. The last recorded mainline entry of the series which debuted on the Nintendo Entertainment System dates back to 2012 with the arrival of Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. Howbeit, despite the chatter from its user base to release more installments for the franchise, Team Ninja do want return to the series.
In a previous report that took place this past February, the Japanese team when speaking to IGN that it wishes to meet the demand of its followers with a new project arriving sometime. “The core members of the team that worked on Ninja Gaiden want to make a new game,” studio Director Fumihiko Yasuda admitted in the interview. He also voiced that some employees at Team Ninja even preferred working on a new game over the recent Nioh 2.
But while there is still no word on a new entry months later, there could be a substitute for the time being. According to a compilation of findings organized by Mpl90 on ResetEra, there is evidence suggesting a Ninja Gaiden Trilogy is on the way for current systems. Through a listing on Game Source Entertainment, a game distributor in Hong Kong, it has the aforementioned project posed for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
Gathered that the listing has be discarded as of reporting, the sources provided share offer the three entries propped for the alleged trilogy: Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Ninja Gaiden Simga 2, and Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor’s Edge. A release window for March 2021 was also provided with pricing said to be aimed for $39.99.
The listing does come at a good time for revisited titles as Nintendo is doing something similar later this month, In that, the firm announced Super Mario 3D All-Stars which includes Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy in one bundle.
