Nintendo is closing 2022 strong with a Splatoon 3 Turf War Tournament. The announcement came on December 19th through the NintendoVS Twitter account which is known for sharing any esports related events for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and of course, Splatoon.
The Turf War Tournament takes place on Friday, December 30 starting at 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT until 5 PM ET / 2 PM ET.
There is no money prize for this tournament, but the prizes include My Nintendo Gold Points to redeem on Nintendo eShop and a Splatoon 3 hip pack. Each member of the first-place team will also get a trophy for their ink-chievement.
Here are the full details regarding the prize:
“There will be a total of 4 winning teams. There will be one (1) Grand Prize winning team who will each receive the following prize package: trophy, My Nintendo Gold Points, hip pack, pin set and tech decals (ARV $310 US each). There will be one (1) First Prize winning team who will each receive the following prize package: My Nintendo Gold Points, hip pack, pin set and tech decals (ARV $135 US each). There will be two (2) Second Prize winning teams who will each receive the following prize package: My Nintendo Gold Points, pin set and tech decals (ARV $80 US each). Total prize ARV $2,420.00 – $3,025.00 US. A Nintendo Account is required to receive and redeem points.”
This 4v4 Splatoon 3 event is limited to North America which includes Mexico, Canada, United States.
