More than a month ago now, Nintendo kicked off their annual pre-E3 Direct by showing off the next addition to the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster, Dragon Quest’s Hero. Though the upcoming opponent does not portray one singular character from the series, fans of the series nonetheless were extremely excited for the character(s) to be joining the battle.
Though Nintendo did confirm that the fighter will be coming to Ultimate, the publisher however did not disclose when exactly that will be taking place regarding a specific release date. But now in a recent tweet from the company’s @NintendoVS account, a presentation is scheduled to take place this week which will reveal more on the newest character and that includes when the fighter officially launches.

The post reads that Game Director Masahiro Sakurai will be presenting the 22 minute-long feature to give “an in-depth look at upcoming DLC Fighter, Hero.” The presentation is scheduled to go live this Tuesday, July 30th at 6 AM PST / 9 AM EST.
Version 4.0 for Smash Ultimate will be going live “soon:” detailing that fighter buffs, nerfs, and balances will be a factor from the approaching update. The tweet also urges players to convert their current replays into the vault prior to the update going live as the replays will not be compatible to play once installing Version 4.0.
As for the following Banjo-Kazooie revealed character coming to the game’s cast of fighters, Nintendo has yet to share upon much following the initial reveal closing this year’s E3 Direct.
