Nintendo Labo’s announcement back in January left many fans confused and almost upset given the option to buy card board for $70. Following its release in April, showing the capabilities the Nintendo Switch can offer with the two kits available.
Now announced that players will be able to use the handlebar kit for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Given the option to play with the joy cons nested in the handlebars while docked or with the Switch placed in the handlebars. And those interested in this will be able to purchase the handlebars separately.
Seeing the option to play Mario Kart 8 with Labo is an interesting way to grab those interested in the gimmick for a more physical way of playing. And hope that Nintendo will continue this with the other Labo kits as seeing how it was received to hopefully push towards what Nintendo expected during its initial launch.
