Although 2020 was absent of an E3 this past year, 2021 is a different story. However, while an in-person show in Los Angeles is out of the picture entirely, there is still an event to be held. Through an online festival, E3 is already confirmed to feature prominent publishers at the show including Xbox, Nintendo, Konami, Ubisoft, and even Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.
Already, Ubisoft has already set in stone its plans for this coming E3 in June. On Thursday, Ubisoft announced that its third Ubisoft Forward conference will be held on June 12, the start of E3. The contents of the virtual showcase has yet to be designated by the publisher, but fans are hopeful to see some engaging reveals from the firm coming this summer.
To reiterate on the initial announcement for E3 2021, Nintendo of America CEO Doug Bowser in a tweet responded for fans to get excited for some amazing reveals and games that will be present on Nintendo’s behalf.
It’s going to be great to get the video game industry back together with our fans this June. We’ll make the virtual format fun and engaging. Looking forward to seeing you all in June! https://t.co/ZQidcWqAF4

As to what is on the radar for Nintendo’s show later in June, the Japanese company already pressed on one possibility previously. In that, Nintendo during its held direct livestream back in March shared that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 is expecting an update later in 2021. While no specific date is issued, E3 appears to be a likely expectation from Nintendo.
Even more, Microsoft also in the past reference some engaging announcements for this summer. While unsure if aimed for E3, the Xbox company has mentioned that it is scheduling to showcase its plans with the recent acquisition of Bethesda in the approaching months.
