Nintendo Promises More Free Updates Coming To Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Plans To Be Shared Soon

While the game released back in March of last year just at the start of the climb for COVID-19 then, Animal Crossing: New Horizons currently stands to be in the top three most sold releases for the Nintendo Switch. The game overtakes Super Smash Bros. Ultimate by nearly 10 million units, but comes short of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which leads as the most successful release on the Nintendo Switch alongside the Wii U also.

However, since the game’s inception, Nintendo continued to pump in more add-ons for Animal Crossing: New Horizons since. The firm during the launch last year pledged to continue support with promised years of content. But, the last couple of month began to overlap events that reoccur from 2020 already. The last namely addition came back in March with the extended Custom Designs at the time.

In a new statement by Nintendo on Twitter, the firm shares that it will continue the program for more no-cost updates to the game with more details to share in the near future.

Fans that continue to wait for more add-ons similar to what is already on its predecessors, the most ambitious content drop for Animal Crossing: New Horizons happens to be the Super Mario Bros. update back in February. With that, players could redecorate their island, character, and even utilize themed items that were ripped straight from the Super Mario series.

In terms of other plans Nintendo has planned, the firm hammers down on hopes of a Nintendo Switch Pro for the coming future. From a statement directly made by corporate Nintendo on Twitter, the Japanese company denies any plans following the release of the Nintendo Switch OLED Model.
